Russian commander killed by own troops

It's because the Russian troops are being slaughtered due to a lack of supply; they're starving to death, freezing to death and being shot at from every direction by pissed off Ukrainians. What's to love?
Well, they also realized that they weren't there to protect anyone, as was claimed at the outset.

However, Putin is said to be assembling at least 10 more to shore up his army, with officials warning that shows he is going 'all in' behind his 'botched' invasion - and could be preparing to launch a chemical attack to turn the tide.

He was already sending local cops and others due to lack of troops

He’s going to be sending high school kids or something now
I still say that chemical weapons will literally wipe out all of his remaining troops if that's the route he chooses.

I did not agree with the vigilante justice served on Saddam by the Shia provisional government, and personally would have preferred he stand trial in the Hague for Crimes against humanity.

But I am not going to shed any tears for Saddam, though you are welcome to do so.

For me, the democratically-elected Zalensky of independent, sovereign Ukraine is a lot easier to identify with than a murderous dictator.
Zelenskyy doesn't even belong in the same discussion. Agree about the Hague, but that region needs dictators to keep their people in line. We see what the Mid East looks like now that our puppet was removed from Iraq. We had no right to remove Hussein. Otherwise, we'd have been in Saudi Arabia next.

Cheney was a moron. Although, Iraq was a money maker for him.

Agreed, but, let's be honest, isn't the best solution for the planet to have Putin have an "accident", die of a "heart attack" or succumb to illness?

The price for complete forgiveness of Russia's murderous campaign in Ukraine is the removal of Putin forever and Russian government reform.
I don't believe we'll see reform. Everyone behind him is just as crazy.

The only chance they have is to have a real election, and elect Navalny who will be open to a free market and a free society.

It didn't work the first time, because Russia wasn't quite ready to be a Capitalist society. Too much corruption

The only way to have a "real" election is for them to wipe out the tier of Putin lapdogs.

Agree. I don't know if they can do that. All dissidents are poisoned or imprisoned. It would take a massive uprising, but that isn't so unusual right now.

Perhaps we'll see a continuation of Russians fleeing Russia? They could flee to Ukraine and become part of a prosperous democracy.

At least in Iraq, even when the WMDs didn't show up, a very corrupt and evil dictator was erased from history.

It is extremely laughable to paint the democratically-elected Zalenskyy as the drug addled leader of a cabal of Nazis.

That "corrupt and evil dictator" kept Iran and ISIS in check.

In a neighborhood of rubble. :palm:

Derp!

I bet once this thing is over there will be 200% more dachas in the Ukraine. If not more.

The American equivalent is "cabin".

It has to be the Russians themselves who free their country.

In a perfect world, Russian oil profits will pay for the total rebuilding of Ukraine's infrastructure.
