Conservatist views still, and will always, exist just like Liberal views. It's part of the dichotomy of human existence.

That said, I joined the GOP in the 70s and remained a member until the aftermath of the 2012 election. Although I'd kept hoping it was just a phase, the Republican party had clearly killed off the GOP and replaced with with a quasi-theocratic federalist party. While I've never voted for a Democrat President, I stopped voting for Republican ones too. I refuse to support evil.

What was a liberal view in 1970 is a conservative view today.

and just like a coward full of shame, you have to not only ignore your truth, but you have to project your own failings on other people who are pointing out your cowardice. everybody on this board read that you would bury your guns if the government started trying to take them...........I guess you are just too afraid of reality, so you project those negative feelings of your own failings and make them out to be everyone elses issues. A common trait of liars and cowards.

Translation: You're correct, Dutch, and, no, I refuse to provide any evidence of my claims impugning your character and my other lies about you.

No worries, kid. I never expected you to back up anything you say.

amusing............since I only pointed out one single thing you know you said about your guns and confiscation..........and you apparently don't have the integrity or honor to admit what you said..............that alone impugns your character

QED

BTW, I'm guessing it took at least two PMs for you to cool SotR down so he doesn't get himself in anymore trouble than he's already in.

I guess that's what you get to call plausible deniability about wishing death on conservatives, since you didn't name anyone specific?
Wishing it, it’s just what drives us forward… Conservatives always hold onto the past, once a given generation dies we move on to the next.

The fake golden past that’s in a Conservatives head is different for someone who is 80 today than for someone who is 60 today, in 20 years video will be holding on to a more modern past.

Getting off the OP topic ... Reagan and the Bushies didn't tip you off where things were headed?

Bush the elder in a couple of speeches talked about "the new world order". He slipped up and told the future plans, which Trump worked for too.

For the Orange Oaf, the "new world order" only works if he can put a hotel or golf resort anywhere in the world while stiffing the workers and paying as little tax as possible. Anything less and he's against it. Dump is the Frankenstein's monster of a Reagan/Bush agenda.

Are you claiming they knew? Lemme guess: the Jooooos were calling the shots in 1980. LOL

Nope, I'm pointing out that their policies and actions taken to maintain power eventually morphed into what the GOP was under Dump. Like the Teabaggers, the old guard GOP thought they could just use them for votes and then dispose of them. How wrong they were. Like radio personality Thom Hartmann always says, "It started with Reagan....."

Interesting observation, although I have a couple of disagreements.

Agreed the GOP morphed into the Republican Party we see today, which means the GOP is D-E-A-D. Romney and Cheney are "old guard GOP" and you can see how popular they are. The Republicans no more thought they could use and dispose of voters than Democrats with their special interests. What did happen was that conservative Americans morphed into the Tea Party and then, to drive up numbers, allowed the White Supremacists coupled with the Evangelistas too take over the Republican Party.

Like famous JPP poster Dutch Uncle says, "It started with Jefferson...."

Obviously, you ignored the following from my previous post; "... So the guns are not going anywhere. But we can regulate them to the best of our ability. So far, that fully hasn't happened ..."

It is ignorant and stupid to believe that individuals who break our laws and commit crimes can be regulated to not use guns. :palm:
