The Ruble used to be worth 30 rubles to 1 US dollar. Now it's equal to 1 US cent.

Forcing others to pay only in Rubles is a good move, but I doubt it will salvage the Russian economy.

Oddly, looking at the Russian economy collapse should serve as an example to Americans who think we can just close our borders and become a isolationist hermit country. If we did that, our economy would tank just like Russia's.

Also look at Brexit; a lighter form of self-induced isolationism from other economies. That's still in motion and the Brits are worried.
