Yep. Just as Johnson's commercials about "closing the schools" is bullshit. He doesn't seem to realize that the schools made/make those decisions to go virtual based on local cases and/or lack of staffing for in-person classes due to personnel out sick. The govt. is not dictating that. He also says he's going to insist on voter ID. WTF. We *have* that already. We had to show two forms of ID just to register. Then we have to show it again when we present at the polling place. *Then* we have to sign the voting card which is matched to the one on record by an actual human. He's just an idiot mimicking conservatard talking points about non-issues.

BTW, here's a great example of one party fucking over the people for the sake of their party. The governor requested that the legislature temporarily stop the 6% gasoline tax to help out ppl at this time of super high prices. So the (R)-majority dutifully crafted a bill to do that. Whitmer won't sign it, however, because IT DOESN'T GO INTO EFFECT UNTIL NEXT YEAR. (I.e., after the election.) The (R)s don't want to give her a "victory." They'd rather fuck over the people.

How anyone can support this bullshit is beyond me.
