Rolling Stone: Manchin's Coal Corruption Is So Much Worse Than You Knew

Joe's been in coal and other fossil fuel investments for years, it's open source, easy to find

he even hosted an ad hoc press conference standing high up on the deck of his yacht, literally talking down to reporters.......meanwhile he's bought and sold, taking the cash in broad daylight for what seems like centuries

..interesting to note how fast the MAGA's jumped into the thread to stick up for ole Joe, love the guy

says it all and more

His daughter's the same. It must run in the family. She gets no love from those who need EpiPens.

Proxy filings show that from 2007 to 2015, Mylan CEO Heather Bresch's total compensation went from $2,453,456 to $18,931,068, a 671 percent increase. During the same period, the company raised EpiPen prices, with the average wholesale price going from $56.64 to $317.82, a 461 percent increase, according to data provided by Connecture.

I thought it was part of the BBB bill?

It is.

Did you ever castigate Al Gore for becoming a multi-millionaire off the back of climate alarmism?

Dear fucking idiot

He was correct

Science has proven it in real time

You and the right lied about the science

It’s over

Your lies have been exposed

Stop lying

Fuck you very much

That's my point, and indeed Runes as well. It has no business being part of a so-called infrastructure bill.

The Build Back Better Plan under Biden was not just about infrastructure and didn't pretend to be.

The Build Back Better Plan, or Build Back Better agenda, is a legislative framework proposed by United States' President Joe Biden ahead of his inauguration. It includes funding for a Coronavirus relief bill, social services, welfare, and infrastructure, in addition to funds allocated towards reducing the effects of climate change.[SUP][1][/SUP]

The plan was divided into three parts: The American Rescue Plan, a COVID-19 relief package, was signed into law in March 2021.[SUP][2][/SUP] The other two parts were reworked into different bills over the course of extensive negotiations.

The American Jobs Plan (AJP) was a proposal to fund infrastructure and reduce the effects of climate change,[SUP][3][/SUP] while the American Families Plan (AFP) was a social policy proposal that included spending on welfare and social services.[SUP][4][/SUP] Aspects of infrastructure spending in the AJP were incorporated into the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, which was signed into law on November 15. Other portions of the AJP – such as funding related to climate change and home care – were included in the Build Back Better Act, which also incorporates parts of the AFP relating to welfare and social services.[SUP][5]

In other words, classic pork spending. If it's in separate parts then why can't the part that deals with child allowances be resurrected?

That's what the Clean Air Act was all about, now Biden is trying to do the same with PM2.5

come to think of it, there are around 50,000 coal miners still on the job today

before Trump, around 50,000

after Trump and his promise to revive the industry, around 50,000

you're a born sucker

I don't know why you keep saying this. Pork spending means using federal funds for projects designated by a congress member. No single congressperson insisted that child allowances be put in the act; it was legislation proposed by Biden before he was inaugurated.

because Congress is all fucked up, and never holds hearing on individual bills :palm:

So they stick these monstrosities together (leadership) give members like 24 hours to read them
(can't be done)and jam things thru on party line votes.

FFS Pelosi is still letting them phone their votes in,or just give the Speaker the ability to vote for them

It's a fucking disgrace , to "deliberations" Capitol Hill has been trashed by DC poltivians
