yep after the USSR folded like a cheap suit in 1991 the world was praying they would finally turn that country around, become a nation worth their seat at the UN, build a new economy that rivaled Euro democracies in wealth and prestige
nope, first thing that happened was the advent of oligarchs, master thieves robbing the people blind, business as usual

saw a clip on CNN yesterday - many of these high ranking Soviet officers are getting hit because they or their underlings are using CELL PHONES for critical battlefield communications, calls easily picked-up and geolocated by the Ukrainians. lob in a few arty rounds and poof, another murderer vaporized

Something is happening. I find the alt right gets stuck on an idea, and no amount of reality will change that idea. They got stuck on the claim this would be a cakewalk for the Russians, which a month ago was a very real possibility. No amount of dead major generals will change that belief.
Five dead major generals in a little over 3 weeks is a disaster. If they were all hit together, it could be passed off as bad luck, but it is in 5 different incidents.
This one has not been completely confirmed yet, but the previous four have been completely confirmed. These are major generals with birthdays, graduation dates, and death days. They are getting funerals. Assumably the last one will follow the same pattern as the previous four, and be completely confirmed.
Legion posts a lot of unconfirmed rumors, but this is not that. For many of the other death statistics, we must depend on estimates, but this is not that. These are exactly five major generals that are dead.
