No Amount Of Incremental Wind And Solar Power Can Ever Provide Energy Independence

How many times does history have to teach us that things we once thought were impossible, aren't.

How many times do you need to be taught that it's suicidal to commit to technology that doesn't exist yet and destroy existing energy infrastructure before a viable alternative has been implemented?

I suspect the Euros wish they hadn't gone so green every time they're forced to pay Putin for natural gas and oil because wind and solar aren't enough to run their factories and heat their homes.

The Germans even shut down/tore down half their nuclear power plants.

This thread is an example the left changes their views according to facts and data. The right changes the facts and data to suit their views. Many countries are slashing nuke and fossil fuel power plants due to wind and solar. If the right has power, we will not.

No, it's not. Your posts are an example of the ways the left is easily swayed by their feelings even if the reality is that their objectives are presently unrealistic. You cannot run a power grid on hopes and dreams because they make you feel superior and smug.

The right changes the facts and data to suit their views.

Examples?

Yes, and that decision has forced them to fund Putin's war by buying Russian natural gas and oil.

If the right has power, we will not.

I can't wait.

As an example, the article in the OP talks about the availability of solar being an issue, at night or on overcast days.

Answer: satellite-based solar panels.

Problem solved. That was easy.

I did, and I've read many articles like that (on here).

We don't need to change physics for wind & solar to be viable, widespread sources of energy. I'm not saying that they can be tomorrow or next year - but there is stuff down the line that people in the field haven't even imagined yet.
like what?
yes you need to change physics - what kinna batteries can you use for peak demand and storage
of cloudly non-windy days

Maybe when Star Trek becomes reality. in the meantime it's not - so quit teh green policies
that thankfully were in BBB and were killed
