The Russians cannot hope to succeed unless they cut supply lines from Poland and Romania.

So in early March you were fully expecting Kyiv to fall to the Russians.

Your sense of battlefield conditions is about as keen as those of Field Marshall Stone, General Hawkeye10, and Colonel Moon.

Some place between 15,000 and 80,000 Russians have been killed, and they were unable to crush Ukraine. Not only could they not take Kyiv, 60 miles from the border, but they could not take Odessa, with a Russian speaking majority. They have advanced a little, but not much considering their huge loss of life.
