Help Russians (and others) bypass their internet censors

If we think we've got it bad, the Russians have censorship tens times worse than ours.

To help them ( and others in authoritarian countries ) get access to the internet, go here:

If you're technical -- say, running a version of Linux -- you can become a 'bridge'.

But everyone running Firefox or Chrome can download a 'Snowflake' add-on for their browser which makes your computer a 'relay point' to fool the censors. It takes a minute, and costs nothing.

Plenty of Russians play WoW. Join their servers and paste the messages.

Given that several Russian owned MMORPG games that are extremely popular have suffered ZERO problems as a result of this war, I'd say that in the world of either electronics and the internet they haven't suffered much, if at all.

Exactly. They don't think about those MMORPG games. WoW is pretty popular there. Just join one of their servers and paste the Russian message.

I could start as a undead warrior. ;)

Yeah, I can't be having them jump off my IP. They could try TOR, though. A lot of places severely limit access for people with TOR IPs.

Something to keep in mind. Try to find a decent VPN is a better choice.

There used to be free VPNs, IDK about now.

Or learn how to scrape anonymous proxies and use those.

I used to keep a list of about 100 or so and around 70 would actually work..for a time.

You always gotta be searchin' that way.

Anonymous proxies are not built to last.

I've played Eve Online for years and it's owned by CCP (aka Russians) and it isn't down in the least. They haven't even cancelled their annual confab which this year is in Iceland.

World of Tanks / Warships / whatever is the same way.

I believe the best route is to join their servers and paste the messages before they find out. They do not think about the online games.

I think most of the bigger game companies have servers in multiple countries and can just evade any attempts to block them from letting players play. It's like cryptocurrency only on a lower level of observation.

Yeah. They are good at blocking most Tor nodes and VPNs. But the new IP addresses are created so fast that they cannot keep it up. So it won't work.

We will prevail and we will win.

I doubt it. There's money to be made in gaming and not only the game companies have that incentive. Many players have it too. Collectively, they will overwhelm the government bureaucrats and technocrats that have no skin in the game.
