What is the deal with natural immunity

There is no doubt there is such a thing as natural immunity to Covid, and even natural herd immunity to Covid... For a time. The immunity is proven by the troughs in the waves. Enough people get Covid (or the vaccine) and we have herd immunity, so the wave collapses.

There is also no doubt that the natural immunity fades quickly, to the point we definitely lose natural herd immunity. The next wave proves that. By now, many people have had Covid twice. Many have died from the second round of having Covid.

It is always possible that this round of natural herd immunity will last... Possible but highly unlikely. Past repeated waves point to future repeated waves.

None of this is the reality I want, but being an adult is about facing the reality that is, not the reality we want.

Well, we all have options. View it like the 'Flu'. Get your Annual Shot, or don't.

Say some TrumpToad refuses to get vaccinated. Gets COVID. Then dies. I don't see a Problem here.

So if you have high risk factors you're more likely to die of covid even if vaccinated. So essentially we are in the very same place we were 2 years ago. There's a very low likelihood of dying from covid unless you have risk factors. Lmfao I bet you have no idea what I'm talking about.

Getting vaccinated reduces the risk of dying by 95%, so most of the people dying are unvaccinated.

And if you get covid without the stab your chance of dying is 1%. Right and most of those die because they have high risk factors just like people who are dying with high risk factors even though they are vaccinated. You still don't grasp it yet do you? You are so hypnotized

So if the vaccine reduces it by 95%, then your chances of dying from Covid with the vaccine is down to 0.05%, or one in 2,000. That is very low.

And it works across the board. Lets say you are such a high risk that you have a 20% chance of death, vaccination would reduce that to 1.

I'll take my chances with the 1% to avoid all the harm the stab does and the innumerable number of "boosters" that are needed. It's really just foolishness.

you are mixing terminology with "natural herd immunity"

Herd immunity suppress the virus to a level its not a concern because of previous infections or vaccination,
(either or) so those without either are protected - it becomes scarce to teh point of not being a threat
to a population

natural immunity is a term for individual acquired immunity - nothing to do with herd immunity

COVID hasnt been able to get to herd immunity levels -it endemic now though -not a pandemic
 
Doctor running out huge local hospital said over 98 percent of those in intensive care and dying were not Vaxxed. Don't get vaxxed. it is your problem.
Covid has'.for some people, lingering effects. It is too soon to know if they are permanent. But at least they did not have to take that shot.
The left will try and help you rightys out by telling you the facts. You can use right-wing alternative facts if you choose to.
Don't hate us for caring about your health and your family's. It is what the weak left, that cares about others, has as a problem.

Herd immunity means that outbreaks cannot be sustained. Outbreaks can still happen, and individuals can still die in those outbreaks. That makes it a concern to those individuals. But, if you have herd immunity, those outbreaks will burn themselves out sooner or later.

Collapsing numbers of infections sure does look like herd immunity, because it is herd immunity. Past experience says there will be another wave, because that herd immunity will fade.

If enough individuals have individual immunity, then an outbreak cannot be sustained, and you have herd immunity. Saying they have nothing to do with one another is nonsense.
