Biden listen to his military leaders this time, which he did not do in the Afghanistan withdrawal fiasco?!! They told him it was a bad idea to transfer the jets and it would not make that much of a difference on the battlefield either?!! And if Biden had transfer the jets, and we got into a shooting war with Russia, you and others would be condemning it?!!

Also, the US was offering to 'backfill' the Polish with F-16's for the Mig's...which is a great deal for Poland (depending on what Block/model/age of F-16 involved) and a lousy one for US taxpayers.
As the latter would basically be giving Poland a free upgrade to their air force....which is nothing directly to do with helping Ukraine.


And I am not buying this 'logistical' problem.
It's simple.
Have Ukrainian pilots come and pick up the Polish jets from Poland.
What's the difficulty?

I suspect it is as you said...helping the Ukrainian's with defensive weapons does not push Russia too much.
But NATO countries providing (potentially) offensive weapons (like a Mig-29) might be going too far.
 
Biden is playing it perfectly. He is giving lots of aid, but does not cross a line that would involve us in fighting. Be honest rightys, there is nothing that Biden can do that you will accept. It remains, not his problem, but yours. Right-wing hate makes you unreliable and dishonest.

No the US did not offer to do that. Poland wanted to BUY F16s to replace the MIGs with. The US declined to do it.
 
Why do the Democrats not care about Ukrainian lives? Why doesn't Brandon want the Ukrainians to have MIG 29 so they can enforce their own Russian no fly zone. Are we trying to prevent the fall of Ukraine or are we just managing the fall of Ukraine.

Obviously, they're weighing the risk.

It really wouldn't have mattered which way Biden went on this - you would have criticized it. Trust me on that.

Not according to the article in the OP, America was offering to do just that.

'Sec. of State Antony Blinken first announced on Sunday that the U.S. was in talks with Poland to backfill their supply of MiG-29s with American F-16s if they offered the warplanes to Ukraine.'

Why the hell would Poland give away Mig-29's.
And then turn around to buy F-16's when they already have F-35's on order?
And what is generous of America offering the Poles the F-16's if they are forcing them to pay for them?
That makes no sense.

You are going to have to post a credible link that SPECIFICALLY STATES that America was demanding Poland pay - in full - for the F-16's they would be 'given' or I am not buying it.

Russia needs to know we are not afraid to do what is necessary regardless of their suicidal threats. IMHO Brandon is once again doing the wrong thing.
