Putin's miscalculation of NATO: 'He was listening to Trump'

And...he's impotent on the world stage.

Literally, and figuratively.

Yep. He thought that bullying and bloviating would gain him respect. Instead, world leaders mocked and pitied him. One even publicly seduced his wife.

Pulitzer Prize-winning historian explains

"The Russian president has long sought to weaken NATO, but his unilateral invasion of his democratic neighbor has rallied the organization that had been battered by the twice-impeached former U.S. president -- and historian Anne Applebaum said Trump's attacks had given Putin a false sense of confidence.

"Yes, I think Putin was listening to Trump's denunciations of NATO and he imagined NATO was permanently divided and wouldn't be able to unite again," Applebaum told CNN."

Do you know why Trump called out NATO? I doubt you have a clue.

Oh how about that, another leftist opinion that is negative about Trump, what a surprise!

Are you trying to imply that there was ever anything positive about the TRUMP PRESIDENCY- or even the man himself?

Do tell! PLEASE! This should be hilarious!

Let me tell you what! If Trump was even worth his own weight in Chicken-shit fertilizer- He probably would have been re-elected like most all other presidents.

BUT HE WASN'T NOW WAS HE?

LOL!

Looks like President Trump is running circles in the head of Mr. Tiny Penis. Sorry I triggered you. Actually, I am not. Imagining you pounding the keyboard with a migraine is amusing to me.
The answer to the question dummies is,

Many of the members in NATO were relying on the US to cover for their lack of defense spending, Germany being the most notable. Note those buffoons that haven't made a wise decision since the election of Merkle have now decided Trump was right and they just started to understand they fucked up their own energy supplies and as Trump told them, are now dependent on Russia for energy.

Trump lied about NATO for Putin's benefit. The countries he said did not meet their level of spending on the military, were excoriated by Trump. Many had deals where they would reach the agreed level in 2025. Trump implied they were not kicking in their fair share when in fact it was just elevating the percentage of GDP to the agreed levels. The US was not being cheated.
Putin is showing other nations why they should join NATO. His war will end up with a larger NATO. This action was dumb enough to be Trump's idea.

Bolton on what he thought Trump would do about NATO. [video=youtube;1Uv_gTwIvrU]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Uv_gTwIvrU[/vide] Trump is one dangerous asshole to have all that power.
Bolton is a straight-shooting realist. The Democrats always hated him because he knew, and was more than willing to use, the force needed to put down a rabid dog.

Despite all the bullshit, being President is part of a branch, an institution, not a king....even if Trump tried to crown himself as one. What those years proved was that our nation was solid. Weaker in some areas than others and shocking to the public in a few, that fact remains we survived a one-term Trump. Bolton's concern of what Trump would do with a second term should be taken as incentive for our nation to have appropriate checks and balances for the times. It's mandated in the Constitution by the separation of powers.

By having multiple branches of government, this system helps to ensure that no one branch is more powerful than another. Typically, this system divides the government into three branches: the Legislative Branch, the Executive Branch, and the Judicial Branch. The United States federal government and forty states divide their governments into these three branches.

IMO, a major problem in the United States is Congress, the Legislative Branch, not doing their fucking job and almost always punting to the Executive branch or SCOTUS. The reason they do this is commonly known: re-election popularity and donation favoritism.

Most every American adult knows it's a lot easier to piss people off than to make them happy if from nothing more than a grade school education on Lincoln:

“You can fool all the people some of the time and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time.”
