Asked by NBC News' Lester Holt whether he considered Trump "responsible" for the violence at the Capitol, Barr said: "I do think he was responsible in the broad sense of that word, in that it appears that part of the plan was to send this group up to the Hill. I think the whole idea was to intimidate Congress. And I think that that was wrong."

But, he added, he hasn't seen evidence that Trump committed an actual crime. "I haven't seen anything to say he was legally responsible for it in terms of incitement," Barr said.

I guess this means the Dems can hate Barr again.

We all know that Barr was a Trump lackey, and Barr did Trump's scummy bidding for Trump. .

Man you guys have lost your love for Barr quick. You guys loved him when said "He hadn't seen" any evidence of voter fraud. And yes I think his ability to provide a valid legal opinion is better than a highly partisan 1/6 committee. And I thought Democrats were against fat shaming people. Go figure.:dunno:

Barr never thought Trump ever "committed an actual crime," you forgetting his belief in the "Imperial Presidency," accordingly being President, Trump was incapable of committing an actual crime, Barr not only bailed him out repeatingly believing such, but also employed the Justice Department in Trump's personal legal problems using the same justification

All this makes Barr's comments last week that Trump only thought of himself and put country second even more informative

I agree, we haven’t seen such evidence, yet.

So you think Barr is correct.

He's absolutely correct that the 2020 election was legit & secure.

Glad you guys finally see him as a credible source.
At the very early on time he said he hadn't seen any evidence there was absolutely now way he had examined all the available evidence. So that statement was probably true at that time.

He also said that Trump lost his temper when he told him the election was fine, and wouldn't even listen. He basically let Barr go after that.

Which shows that Trump didn't care about the facts or what anyone who didn't support the Big Lie had to say. It's really telling, actually.

But again - I'm glad the right now sees him as a credible source. No one looked into the election more than he did, and he said it was totally secure.
