well not everybody can take a joke.
I mean I sorta get why blacks didnt really like being referred to as blacks but the term african american is really not appropriate. That said Mr Musk is more properly South African American in the same way I', Scots American (or English American or Irish American depending on which branches on the family tree you follow).
Since comparatively few black Americans have any idea which African country they hailed from they are at a disadvantage in this area. "Of African descent" just doesnt roll off the tongue very well.

Lots of other companies are making EVs now and it seems like a number of them are actually better made. Its looking like Tesla grew quality control problems in ramping up too quickly.
Ford, GM are making a big show of talking up EV but not actually planning for the expansion they are claiming. Toyota, on the other hand, looks to be taking it more seriously.
This could get interesting.

The REALLY funny part is despite all the jawing from Pedo Joe and GM CEO Mary something about GM zooming past Tesla in sales by 2025, actual plans and projections from GM show only modest growth
till past that. GM doesnt want to go EV despite being high margin offerings.
