There is no face saving measure or peace accord he agrees to that leaves Ukraine with some form of autonomy. His actions have united a Ukranian national solidarity, and driven them further into the arms of the west. That is an untenable situation for Vlad.

They don't eat vinegar based food. They seem to opt for brine. Is that a thing?
I don't remember any Russian foods that are super generous on the vinegar. Russian pickles don't have that strong vinegery taste that Polish pickles do, and the hors d'oeuvres I am familiar with are not super heavy on the vinegar. I make Russian vinegrette beet salad with white vinegar, but it is never super dosed up with a real vinegar bite
I watched a reporter talking to various Russians in Moscow. They were all products of state TV like Fox is. They were all for the invasion saying Putin was saving mother Russia from the Nazis in Ukraine. They had that same zeal that scary lies on Fox can create. The majority of Russians are behind Putin their savior.

I tasted a tiny piece to make sure it was nothing but butter. Sure enough, it was. I don't even eat butter, so I was pretty grossed out. They went at it like it was prime rib.
