Dr Samuel Ramani, Associate Fellow at the Royal United Services Institute for Defence and Security Studies and International Relations Tutor at the University of Oxford.

He said: “I’m very sceptical that this phrase humanitarian corridor is nothing more than a euphemism. What ended up happening in Syria in 2019, following the creation of corridors, was massive aerial bombardment and a renewed state of near siege.This led to malnutrition and basically the destruction of lives up to three million people.”

That's fine for Uk regulars, but Zelenski has prohibited men from leaving Ukraine and constantly yammers

Putin is extremely anti-communist. If a normal Marxist party would appear in Russia (like the Bolsheviks in the early 1900s) it would be a real threat to the oligarchical capitalism that has made Putin and his friends extremely rich.

The Reality is that we are in an inter-connected Global economy based on Capitalism.
Some countries use more or less 'tariffs', 'quotas', 'subsidies' to promote THEIR Economies.
Biden already mentioned 'Micro-chips' as a National Security sector. We will 'subsidize' that sector to manufacture 'chips' here.
(Funny, like Nuclear Submarines and Air Craft Carriers, Right-wing Toadies aren't screaming 'Communism' about this decision)

thing about Syria is is was so fractured and so many "sides" of convenience.. any agreement was bound to be rejerted by some other faction at some point

Hopefully this means a WWIII atrocity has been deferred and hopefully permanently. There are ways to reconcile differences in a civilized way rather than destroying the future of humanity and its civilized potentials.

Syria is a long time Russian client state.. we are the outsiders.
Crimea i've gone over as well as the Euromaidan -im sure you have read my rants before
Chechnya - im not too familiar with other then the basic
