Why Russia is having a difficult time in Ukraine, aka Where's the air force?

Nato is targeting Russian planes for Ukraine, let's not forget that. But yes, the "experts" cant even yet figure out what Xi and Putin are doing.
they know china and russia are cooperating.

they're on their side, lying to the american people.

but of course, this tactic will fail.

jesus hates the new world order.
Another example of how much you two hate the West and favor the Russians.

Ah, so that explains (besides his obviously-dwindling mental and moral facilities) why Tommy boy enjoys "smoking" Putin's "cigar."

Right, you dopey mare, I've called out Moonshi'ite many times whilst your besty Dottie still carries the arsehole's water.

The Ukrainians have made drone attacks but I don't know their status or missile supply.

It's possible that they are better armed than the Russians thought. Plus multiple countries are now sending defensive weapons to them over that unsecured-by-the-Russians SW border.

Vastly outmatched by Russia's military, in terms of raw numbers and firepower, Ukraine's own air force is still flying and its air defenses are still deemed to be viable - a fact that is baffling military experts.

After the opening salvos of the war on Feb. 24, analysts expected the Russian military to try to immediately destroy Ukraine's air force and air defenses.

That would have been "the logical and widely anticipated next step, as seen in almost every military conflict since 1938," wrote the RUSI think-tank in London, in an article called "The Mysterious Case of the Missing Russian Air Force."

Looks like an interesting news story, but they make you download the app, so I can’t read it.

What are you babbling about now, you aging nancy? lol
Lol, I share some opinions about Israel and Palestine, but, moon has gone over the edge on Russia. Gladys must be needing my attention, sorry, I have no interest in ever having another exchange with him.

Agreed. Attackers need a 3 to 1 advantage to attack an equally armed and dug-in opponent. The Russians don't have that...no matter how much people like #10 and AHZ root for the Russians.

I didn't have to download an app... interesting. Maybe I already have. :dunno:

It was interesting, I thought folks might like to talk about it.

Note he claimed the news wasn't reporting Ukrainian losses then claims he doesn't watch the news. Anyone besides me think that odd?

I mentioned that in another thread. Hitting fuel and supply trucks first would cripple the whole convoy.
Funny how the news only shows what the Russians are hitting. Showing how hard the Ukrainians are
resisting must be bad publicity. Sure wouldn't want to give the Ukrainians something to raise their spirits
I don't know what news you watch (but we can guess lol), but NBC Nightly News has been showing destroyed Russian equipment, as well as prisoners taken. They appear to be giving equal time to both sides in the conflict as far as showing damage and casualties.
You're guess would be wrong. I rarely watch the news. The GF turns off the Nightly News after the local news goes off.

I had no problem reading it and used a laptop. If someone uses a PED, it might ask for an app like Imgur does.

"While the Russians have been under-performing, Ukraine's military has been exceeding expectations so far.

Ukraine's experience from the last eight years of fighting with Russian-backed separatist forces in the east was dominated by static World War One-style trench warfare.

By contrast Russia's forces got combat experience in Syria, where they intervened on the side of President Bashar al-Assad, and demonstrated some ability to synchronize ground maneuvers with air and drone attacks.

Ukraine's ability to keep flying air force jets is a visible demonstration of the country's resilience in the face of attack and has been a morale booster, both to its own military and Ukraine's people, experts say."

Reading Tom's whining dreck is like drinking wood alcohol: First you go blind, then your brain cells die.

Ah, that would be why. I read it on my laptop.

Good point. I didn't catch that. Maybe his local news, like ours, shows some snippets of the conflict.

Last night they showed a dead Russian soldier lying beside an armored vehicle with a large hole in the side. He had snow on him. There's no call to show that. That was someone's son, brother, husband, friend.

The dead are always some relative of another. OTOH, not all dead people are invading another country and targeting civilians soooo....no sympathy from this end. :)

I do confess to enjoying news interviews of Ukrainians in the street asking what they'd say to Putin. It's usually something along the lines of "Go fuck yourself you bastard!".

Maybe the Russian military's heart is not in it. They know they are fighting a bad war. They know there was no reason to attack Ukraine. Many of them have friends and relatives there. If the war doesn't produce results for Putin rather quickly, things are going to get very difficult for Putin. Maybe there is a sentiment that if they simply go along instead of embracing this war, that Putin will be ousted and they can get a better, less corrupt, Russia with President Nalvany.
