crude surges past $110 a barrel

I have my doubts that conservatives could ever be counted on to defend western liberal democracy against the global reach of resurgent authoritarianism.

This is a minor inconvenience in the context of the greatest threat to western liberal values since 1945.
minor inconvenience? you might be willing to pay CA fuel prices but the rest of us are not
It also increases the costs of everything.
Biden at least exempted energy money transfers to Russia because energy is so critical to Europe and even here with our increase in Russian imports

Don't you think it's time to reopen Anwar fully and reopen the Keystone pipeline plus reopen our offshore oil leases? There is no reason for the US not to be oil independent.

^ See what I mean?

Conservatives like you cannot be trusted to remain steadfast in support against the greatest threat to western liberal democracy in 70 years.

It's a minor inconvenience compared to what Ukranians are doing to defend their democracy and fight off the globally resurgent forces of totalitarianism.

fuck that.
Ukraine isn't a NATO country. and your hyperbole this is "globally resurgent forces" doesnt hold water

Ukraine isn't even a democracy

what’s on paper is not necessarily the same as what happens in practice. Ukraine’s constitution, for instance, guarantees the right to peaceful assembly, but there is no law that specifically provides for freedom of assembly.

The country has struggled to build up a lasting democratic infrastructure as it has veered between leaders who lean toward Russia or toward the West. Corruption remains a serious problem that government officials have only halfheartedly addressed.

Zelensky has been engaged in a bitter political feud with the man he defeated in a landslide 2019 election, Petro Poroshenko. Prosecutors have sought to arrest Poroshenko on charges of treason and supporting terrorism, but a court in January said he could await trial while released on his own recognizance. Poroshenko had been accused of facilitating coal purchases for government enterprises from mines under the control of Moscow-backed insurgents in eastern Ukraine, helping finance the militants. He says the charges are politically motivated.

You supported Kraken lies and the Jan 6 attempt to overthrow our democracy, so you are not in a position to judge the purity of Ukrainian democracy.

Democracy is a work in progress, and we haven't perfected it after 250 years. The point is Ukraine has made a commitment to adopt western liberal values and incrementally improve their democratic system. Vlad is trying to snuff it out.

Crude surges past $110 a barrel and equities sink with investors growing increasingly fearful about the Ukraine war’s impact on global energy supplies and the economic recovery.

The measures have injected a huge amount of uncertainty into markets with supplies of crucial commodities including metals and grains soaring. The price of global staple wheat is sitting at a 14-year high — having risen 30 percent in the past month.

Suck that Putin cock traitor

Conservation is the quickest way to mitigate an oil shock.

But if the defense of democracy in Europe requires it, I think we should consider loosening some rules for energy production, maybe even open a decommissioned nuke plant or two.

I dont recall us holding political opposition prisoners, and we at least have a bill of rights even if it's under attack from the fascist left thru their Big Tech proxy.

And I didn't "support" 1/6. I said i understand the frustration from lack of redress especailly
Pennsylvania vs. Texas

how about your guy opening up ANWAR and new federal lands permits, and quit talking about closing the Michigan pipeline before we pay thru the nose for ..what was it?? "Ukraine democracy"..gimme a break

That should only take a few years.

Or, maybe you can't get a passport because of, you know, the thing.
