What are gunners trying to prove?

you wouldn't know
but you can look up average MBA slaries and multiply by 1.5 to see how well it turned out for me.

 hooray for you and your business degree that you can make good money. it didn't address my statement though, that you don't know shit about everyday life situations.

I don't know what's wrong with it, ahh maybe that it makes the whole news media freak.

What makes other people freak out should not be a concern, especially what makes the news media freak out.

The news media in this country has been anti-gun for decades. Which is why I made the points I did about the guns being a distraction.

maybe it's me, strapping an assualt rifle to a political rally doesn't seem everyday to me or the media.

So you would strap an assual rifle to a healthcare townhall?

1. Fuck the media. Gone are their glory days when we as Americans trusted them to give us actual news instead of political coverage (on either side). It's all about ratings now, not honest journalism so they can piss off.

2. You're right. It's you. Maybe you should seek treatment for your hoplophobia?

I'm going to say they are proud to show that all you need is a GED to carry a gun in those states.

If these individuals were doing so at local political/gov't meetings, then no controversy. But that they chose to put on this display at a meeting to discuss HEALTHCARE speaks volumes as to either a paranoid and/or bullying mindset (yeah, don't mess with me buddy, I got my gun.)

If you want to changethe laws concerning carrying in public, then do so. Otherwise, these people are not doing anything wrong. If these individuals were doing so at local political/gov't meetings on a regular bais, then no controversy. But that they chose to put on this display at a meeting to discuss HEALTHCARE speaks volumes as to either a paranoid and/or bullying mindset (yeah, don't mess with me buddy, I got my gun.)
Trying to equate their intelligence or education to whether they carry a gun or not is about like equating owning a gun or nice car shows you have a small dick. Its nonsense.

No, they're not ignorant, just acting foolishly.

90 posts on this topic, and once again, the leftist anti-gunners prove they have no valid nor rational reason for their hatred of the 2nd Amendment. The article itself is a bunch of "oohhh, they COULD have posed a danger....."

Except - they did not. NOTHING happened, except the media wet their panties and a bunch of mindless dweebs crapped in the fruit-of-the-looms because law-abiding American citizens are shown exercising an enumerated constitutional right.

What makes you think they do not carry at local meetings? People who carry usually do so habitually. Assuming they did so just because it was Obama is nothing less than putting your own prejudices on the story without knowing anything about the people involved.

I think you give Obama and the like enough ammunition they'll restrict ownership and carry so much it'll be like they've erased it. The more people call attention to something like this and the more people (like topper, for instance) make generalizing comments (you can bet he ain't the only one) the more ammunition we give them, IMO.

Well, that little machievellian plot that gunners would love to see happen isn't going to. What is more likely to happen is that these dopes will eventually spark an incident that will just give the Secret Service the reason it needs to expand it's safety perimeter during Presidential visits (which is their legal obligation and perrogative)....which will just piss of the gunners even more.

Most local meeting places prohibit firearms on the premises.
I can carry there if I choose, but then I am a cop.

that all depends on the state you're in. Virginia, New Hampshire, Kentucky, and Arizona have state pre-emption that does not allow municipalities to restrict possession of firearms.

Bullcrap, try going into a school or courthouse in KY with a gun.
You are not even allowed pocket knives in there unless you are a cop.
Guns are not even allowed on school property even in your vehicle in the parking lot.
Thanks to homeland Security.
Remember I am a Cop.

but now you're being very specific. you weren't in your earlier post. yes, schools and courthouses are restricted, but city halls and council chambers are not, unless they are part of those schools and courthouses.

you might be a former cop, but I did study gun laws very extensively.

one other thing, the gun free school zones act only applies to the building itself, not the parking lot or sidewalks.
