I think they are defeating the purpose of protesting the healthcare bill. But the "they are all wife beating, white trash, GEDers" is not exactly straight up critique either.

I do find it stupid, and I am a trucker, with a HS education, does that make me a bad person?

If truckers shut down this country would shut down with in a day, people have a right to there opinion now matter how far they went in school, but carrying a un loaded gun to a Presidential meeting to me is stupid, legal but stupid, the hassle ya would get would be enough for me not to carry

And by the way I own many guns, at times wear wife beater shirts, and think people that go threw life judging others on the education they have are about the biggest pussies I have ever seen

I have a CCW and own several guns. I also have a MS in Mathematics with a BS minor in Science. Wherever I go that is legal to carry, I do....this includes any meetings with politicians that I have gone to in the past and will attend in the future. Difference is one would never know that I am packing a gun unless something came up.

I don't like the generalizations (you know the kind, GEDer, wife beater Southerner trailer trash, etc.) that folks like to paint ALL gun owners and gun rights activists with. So I am with Winter on this one.

Not all wife beater wearers, gun totaing to townhalls, pickup truck driving people are tools, Just the ones who show up at townhalls.
Obviously college is not for everyone, you have rising to your potential.

I think you give Obama and the like enough ammunition they'll restrict ownership and carry so much it'll be like they've erased it. The more people call attention to something like this and the more people (like topper, for instance) make generalizing comments (you can bet he ain't the only one) the more ammunition we give them, IMO.

they can make whatever rules and laws they want to and eventually it will piss enough people off that they will either be repealed by legislation or force. it's their own noose they are tying.

Or they can gradually restrict the freedoms we gun owners enjoy, until our ability to fight back is gone.

The 2nd Amendment is very clear about guns. But it says nothing about ammunition. That is where I have predicted their control will come from. If they include bulk smokeless powders with that, we are screwed.

the USSC has already had a few cases where their dicta has indicated that ammunition is included in arms because you can't have one without the other.

I'm not worried about attempts they make on ammo control.

I don't hold out hope that you gun totting bubba's can be stripped of your guns. You fuckers wouldn't even allow criminals to be stripped of em.
