Congress wants to oust Russia from U.N. Security Council

"The resolution argues Russia's invasion of Ukraine and support of breakaway republics "pose a direct threat to international peace and security" and "run contrary to its responsibilities and obligations as a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council.""

Typical symbolic posturing.

Here's a better idea: invoke the 25th amendment and oust bungling Biden, and hand him over to the World Court for trial.

Why not just dissolve the security council altogether ? That would please all the little countries.

Well, right up until we stopped giving them money, then they would regret it.

It would make more sense to just dissolve the UN. Its a useless black hole of money.

Why don't you fire off a strongly-worded tweet or something.

If Congress wants to take a meaningful action they can do this pass a bill to do the following:
- immediately discontinue US funding of the UN,
- immediately withdraw providing personnel of any kind to the UN,
- immediately revoke all protections for foreign nationals associated with the UN delegations,
- immediately lock down the UN offices and evict all foreign nationals who used to work there

If the UN does not immediately toss the Russian delegation from the UN and expunge it from anything associated with the UN.

Give them 30 minutes to comply.

They will have to do it followed by immediate talks to dissolve ands reform a UN-2.0 which will be equally useless but everyone can feel all virtue signally about it.

That won't happen. But the 25th Amendment might, and soon.

well I DID start with "if". if they're talking about meaningless resolutions they have no balls to take any real action.
Kinda like Brandon only his cooperation was already purchased.
