I thought of something ironic just now. Thanks for this analysis, by the way. There have been several threads here lately started by the MAGATs about the evils of electric vehicles. Yet at the same time, they are crying about us importing oil. Um, wouldn't using more EVs cut U.S. consumption and return us to either neutral or net exporters? Hmm?

We became a net exporter of petroleum because Obama relaxed restrictions on exporting crude oil.

its a nice sounding gesture but that booze has already been bought by your state so the money has long since made its way to Russia so it only hurts your state's taxpayers.

Discontinuing future purchases would have some actual impact.

I do like French toast, but frankly don't know what Texas toast is. Maybe I'd like it.
Seriously, except for the people speaking French, France is probably more like Massachusetts than Texas is.
Also, even though they allegedly speak English in Texas, I sure as hell can't understand it.

This is no lie or exaggeration. In Boston, it was easier to understand Pedro Martinez talk than Roger Clemens. And if Nolan Ryan was interviewd, the local channels used subtitles.
