Ukraine isnt even a democarcy now .

I will agree that it is an extremely borderline case, and could be argued not to be a democracy. But it was moving in the right direction, which had Putin scared. If Ukraine becomes a democracy, with western style prosperity, then Russia can too. If Russia can too, then Putin is over.

corruption is the cultural norm, but then again so is Russia

If Ukraine can end that cultural corruption, then Putin is done for. Putin desperately needs Ukraine to fail.

militarization by Biden?

Ukraine's militarization has not changed much in the last year.

Ukraine spreads democracy into Russia?? lol .. sorry but i cant take this seriously
Ukraine can't even incorporate LDNR into Ukraine's "democracy"

moot. so im not answering

right off the top of my head Biden has shipped in hundreds of JAVELIN - and for front line use -
not to just defend Kyiv in reserve

again though..no point in researching this further

I see no ability of India to project a large scale force outside of it region -it certainly is not a superpower like Russia is

Could Russia invade Brazil? No, because it is a regional power, and Brazil is far outside its region. India certainly could not invade Brazil... Again, a regional power. Brazil could not invade either Russia or India... Yet again, a regional power.

China hopes to one day soon be able to invade Brazil... That is have the capability to invade, but they have no interest in using that capability against Brazil, as such, but they certainly want the capability for other countries.

The US could definitely invade Brazil. I would not like to see it happen, but we could put the forces up against them. Britain and France could definitely mobilize a smaller force against Brazil. In fact, the Brazilian military ranks France as one of its major threats.

It appears Putin's endgame is to unwittingly cause Russia to collapse again at causing its entire economy to be destroyed over an ego and stupidity venture of being vindictive, arrogant and out of touch with reality. Also, Russia should realize it put a lot of its money in foreign interests to which those foreign interests are rather pissed off currently over this atrocity of Russians invading a peaceful and sovereign nation of the Ukraine. Yet, I wonder if this little man in body Putin is worth causing Russia's economy to go straight to hell and for Russia to be the world's dependent?

Two full days in and none of the experts seem to understand what Putin has tasked the military to do....either that or they are not telling us. Also unsaid is how the Russian military is performing.

This is nowhere near enough troops to take and hold the whole country, so what exactly is the program?

There was always the danger Putin would bite off more he could chew.
He's known for not dong things with high risk, but he's gone all in one way or the other on Uk
Ukraine is a BIG country and is well armed. He has to take it in a reasonable time and install a new government. Then it becomes what the former officer corps will do if they support that government or not

Douglas Murray has just put up a piece on NYPOST that this is crazy Putin....but I am not there yet, because I dont understand what Putin and XI are trying to do.

Our "experts" are certainly no help.

Ukraine isnt even a democarcy now .Poroshenko was tossed in jail and
Thousands of the world's largest media criticize Zelensky for closing down 112 Ukraine,

Ukraine operates on corruption. the one good thing out of this shitstorm might be a non-corrupt
imposed Russian puppet government,,might,,corruption is the cultural norm, but then again so is Russia

i cant follow this run on idea
Progress to what? militarization by Biden? ending corruption? NATO expansion? what?

Why is Putin so paranoid about NATO anyway? Is anybody seriously suggesting that it would attack Russia first?

Let's ask some Iraqis, Syrians, Afghans, Libyans, Palestinians etc , maggot- and see what they think.

Haw, haw......................................haw.

There is no chance that NATO or the EU will attack Putin DIRECTLY, but there is a real chance that Russia could have a color revolution, and that Putin could be attacked by his own people. NATO and the EU could act as role models to this color revolution. While I doubt they would give any actual support, their very existence close to Russia endangers Putin.

It endangers Russia, not Putin. Putins come and go- Russia is forever.

You are thinking of things the wrong way around. Putin is concerned with Putin staying in leadership, not Russia's safety. Putin wants to hold onto life, and power for as long as possible. He has already reversed term limits to go on for the rest of his life.

Well, he could always adopt the US system, fuck things up for four years while lining his buddies pockets then hand over to some other billionaire crook to continue the tradition.
I don't believe he will though.

Putin has a level of corruption not seen in the USA. He lines the oligarch's pockets... And his own. Have you seen the palace he built for himself? He made himself a billion dollar palace with government money.
