I think you are infatuated with the criminal oligarch Vladimir Putin, and pour your heart and soul into defending his every action and transgression.

Nobody of sound moral conscience is standing shoulder to shoulder with Putin now.

People in Russia are getting arrested, beat up by police and dumped on street corners. Even Russians didn't ask for this war. It is indefensible at this point that you, Moon, and Tucker Carlson have decided to willingly become Putin's wingmen.

If we start yammering about the Uighers -we miss the real threat of China to the USA in malign trade/hegemony.
"tying " human rights to international relations is fine, but it has to be secondary to exigent needs
and not part of other negotiations

Carlson is the same. . why is Ukraine border sacrosanct to Biden while our southern border is wide open.
what is our national security interests in a soverign Ukraine -or not?? none.

Focus on the power, focus on improving relations if possible.

I dont condemn or approve of Putin -instead I try to understand him and prevent shit like this.

The invasions is a product of NATO expansion, refusal to negotiate ANY redlines, shenanigans in the Black Sea around Crimean restricted water, and most directly eventual Ukraine membership into NATO while militarizing it now as a proxy war on Russia

Nor can we influence domestic Russian politics - so why go there?

As China is fond of pointing out to this Woke adm - we are oppressors ourselves.
Should we listen to China and base policy decisions based on their characterizations? of course not
Then why should Russian morality be the basis for our policy?

Nobody I know in Russia thinks NATO forced Putin to invade Ukraine.

In fact I am having a hard time finding a single Russian citizen who wanted this war - though you can undoubtedly find them in Putin's state-run propaganda media.

This is a different kind of morality than cheating on a test, or neglecting to tip the waitress.

People in Ukraine are being killed. Russian citizens are being arrested. The entire post-cold war European consensus and international order has been fractured.

If you want to go that route, then consider promises of non-NATO expansion.
That was promised (documentation)..I dont see you morally condeming hat.

Morality is a red herring. it has absolutely no legs .
It makes you feel good to claim the moral high ground but doesn't address the dynamics.

Your way hasnt gotten us anywhere but morally involved in regime change like Iraq and Libya
It has never deterred any war.

neither do i. Putin responsible for Putin - but NATO encirclement and militarizing Ukraine by Biden certainly influences Putins behavior
