Biden Takes Decisive Action; Trump Fluffs Putin as "Genius"

Anatta has always amused me. I've been teeing off on him since before the invasion of Crimea. Definitely the most entertaining Russian national I will ever talk to, albeit from St. Petersburg rather than Moscow.

The misses and I have a friend in the Ukraine. She said the situation was not as dire as the media is making it out to be and that cooler heads will prevail.

I'd say he was responsible for the Taliban's actions. Why not Putin's? Who knows, maybe even the China virus (it got him elected, along with the MSM's help)?

Oh, heck - why don't we just blame him for cloudy days & soggy french fries, while we're at it?

We can. Kids don't want to work part-time at Burger King (or elsewhere) like we did, so reduced hours and the pre-made fries get soggy. The Chinese Disease and the lockdowns fucked everything up.
Cloudy days are Joe's inflation. Do you pay to fuel your car and heat your home? Been to the grocery store lately? Bought anything at all?

Biden:

"That means we've cut off Russia's government from western financing. It can no longer raise money from the west and cannot trade in its new debt on our markets, or European markets either."

Starting tomorrow — and continuing in the days ahead — we will also be imposing sanctions on Russian elites and their family members.

They share in the corrupt gains of the Kremlin’s policies and should share in the pain as well."

"Because of Russia’s actions, we’ve worked with Germany to ensure Nord Stream 2 will not move forward."

Trump:

"I went in yesterday and there was a television screen, and I said, 'This is genius,'" Trump recalled. "Putin declares a big portion of the Ukraine — of Ukraine -- Putin declares it as independent. Oh, that’s wonderful."

"I said, 'How smart is that?'" the former U.S. president continued. "And he’s gonna go in and be a peacekeeper. That’s the strongest peace force… We could use that on our southern border. That’s the strongest peace force I’ve ever seen. There were more army tanks than I’ve ever seen. They’re gonna keep peace all right. No, but think of it. Here’s a guy who’s very savvy."

President Biden has restored order and honor to the office of the U.S. presidency that was missing from 2017 to 2020 when Putin's lawlessly hacked in bitch tRump was in there disgracing America and on a mission to destroy Democracy from within and the well-being of the common decency of civilization and its soul as a sewer dwelling rat! It is what it is, and I hope the savvy of U.S. justice finally collars this mothefkr tRump at reaching the end of the line to haul him, in particular, in to stand criminally accountable for his high crimes.

He is not Russian, where the fuck did you get that idea from? He was born in Baltimore ffs, please refrain from spouting bollox!!

Why didn't it happen? You keep running from that question.

Trump didn't hate NATO that's Raw Sewage bullshit, he hated how many members like Germany refused to commit to paying 2% of GDP. They agreed way back in 2006 at the Riga NATO summit to do just that but have been dragging their feet ever since.

At the 2006 Riga summit, NATO members agreed two targets for defence spending: that 2% of a member’s GDP should go towards defence expenditure, and that 20% of defence expenditure should go towards the development and acquisition of equipment.

Historically, the US has spent a far greater percentage of its GDP on defence than any of the European members. The introduction of the 2% target was perceived as achievable goal in an attempt to address this imbalance.

The 20% target was to ensure that NATO members have the right military equipment and capabilities to conduct its missions.

Some argue that the 20% equipment target is more meaningful than the 2% GDP target. While a country may achieve the 2% GDP target, if its military didn’t have adequate military equipment, the overall effectiveness of their force would be diminished. At the Wales summit in 2014, the then UK Prime Minister David Cameron said in his closing press conference: “it’s not just the amount of money that matters; it’s also about spending on equipment you can actually deploy.”

At the same summit, NATO members agreed that those countries currently achieving the two targets would continue to do so, whereas those who were not would aim to achieve the targets by 2024.

How many members have hit both targets?
Not many. As you can see from the animated chart below, since 2006 only eight countries have ever achieved both targets simultaneously: Bulgaria, France, Greece, Latvia, Poland, Turkey, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Please learn sarcasm. He now resides in the St Petersburg (FL) area, which adds greatly to the comedy. That said, his Russian sycophancy has always been a bit nauseating to me. Like talking to progs during the Cold War.

Not many on here understand such subtlety, Daesh for one.

stick to "Kraut" bashing

It won’t. It’s not intended to. It’s more like a reminder of what a war can cost. Sanctions only work to a point. To severe and the’ll start a war. There’s not a whole lot the NATO alliance can do other than make it more painful. Though only to a point.

NATO won’t go to war over the Ukraine. Conversely Putin would have to be mad to try this shit with a NATO member.

no you dont tee me off.
I've been called every name in the book because I think Russian security needs are as legit as ours.
that tees off the intelligence agencies and the politicians swoon with their Russiaphobia..

Im used to being out in the cold.
I was mocked mercilessly for saying the Libyan fiasco was bogus as well . It goes with the territory

I don't consider Russian security needs to be important at all. The last time I cared was when Putin staged a false flag and blamed it on terrorists back in 2002. Turns out I was wrong to care.

Biden is being ripped worldwide for his useless sanctions. trump assessed the situation properly.

Oh, really? He's being "ripped worldwide?" By who....QAnon followers?

Biden is doing what a leader is supposed to do in this circumstance. What would you suggest besides sanctions....using the military?

All we can do is make Biden realize that there will be severe economic consequences to his actions, which Biden is doing. No one wants to risk American lives. Show us the alternate action Biden should have taken.

He's right about NATO though, Ukraine was always a bridge too far.
