And, you're right, they can't get people to work for that. But paying people more to do it is a poor business decision.
Not if you want a fully staffed business.
Or, you could just pay people like shit and complain that no one wants to work, then impotently threaten your current employees with automation but never follow through on that threat because...reasons. Then your employees get sick of your shit and quit without giving notice, leaving you with NO ONE to do the work.
Now, does that sound like a good business decision? Because that's the one you're advocating.
