That is not what the highlighted portion says.

It is talking about 'odds'.

The article used the statistics from the CDC to (apparently) show that if you are vaccinated? The odds of you dying of Covid-19 are lower than the odds of you getting killed (or hit - not sure which) by lightning.

You really don't get it, do you.

They are comparing odds that make no sense when compared.
The odds of dying from Covid within 160 days of being fully vaccinated are 1 in 150,000.
The odds of dying from a lightning strike over 27,375 days (a roughly 75 year lifespan) is 1 in 90,000

So basically, on any given day you are over 100 times more likely to die from Covid if you are vaccinated then you are from lightning. But the authors know that people like TD are too stupid to understand how they manipulated the statistics to make a point that ultimately makes no sense. Surely you can see the idiocy in the comparison McRocket. Or are you as stupid as TD? Your defense of him would seem to indicate you are.

2) As many as 640,000 old people die of the flu EVERY YEAR. Yet I don't see anyone calling to force 20 year old's to get flu vaccines. Even though they can get and spread it to old people whom later die of it.

3) If you want to protect seniors from Covid-19? You pay seniors to self-quarantine (if they wish). You don't shut down the whole, fucking planet.
