GOP spent $2.6M to erase Lucy McBath's seat in GA, which cost them 4 seats in NY

The only reason that NY extreme gerrymander exists is because the GOP went crazy and erased all these seats in states like GA and TX.

And the only reason it will be protected is because the Roberts court ruled partisan gerrymandering is perfectly legal.

The GOP could put a stop to it at literally any time by voting for Joe Manchin's Freedom to Vote Act.

Redistricting isn’t free: Georgia might have to pay for postage

Oh you misunderstand...NY Dems are gerrymandering today because of a ten year effort to get progressives into the NY State Legislature who won't unilaterally disarm during redistricting.

And NY's gerrymander is perfectly legal.

So you paid $2.6M in GA to erase Lucy McBath's seat, but that also came at the cost of 4 GOP seats in NY.

So you paid $2.6M to give Democrats net +3 seats in the House this November.

Brilliant.

It won't save the Democrats.

Actually, it probably will because the gerrymander in IL, MD, and NY will be more than enough to secure the House for the Dems in 2022.

All those seats Republicans won in CA in 2020 are going to be gone this year because they all went overwhelmingly for Newsom in the recall.

The GOP gerrymanders in OH and NC will be struck down, and those were two states where the GOP was picking up seats for redistricting. No more.

With the gerrymanders pulled off by the Democrats, they probably secured their House majority.

And what's really funny is that the GOP also had to give up a seat in AL because they were racially gerrymandering there (which is illegal).

Thanks to the Supreme Court giving the green light to partisan gerrymandering, it looks like the Democrats will probably gain a net 3-6 seats this cycle, despite it being the first midterm.

D gains in NY, IL, MD, OR, and AL will more than wipe out GOP gains in GA, KS, and TX.

The 2022 midterms are shaping up to be more like 2002 than 2010 or 2018.

so in short......Demmycrats were gerrrymandering in 2013 and Demmycrats are gerrymandering in 2022.......life goes on, Demmycrats go on......

my prediction is demmycrats will lose 44 seats in the House in November......three in the Senate......
