the law doesn't say they can't get a policy account...in fact, they went out of their way NOT to say they couldn't get a policy account when they said the restriction applied only to that subtitle......now WHY did they only want the restriction to apply to that subtitle?.....all the restriction says is they can't get that particular method of funding....

If you have to have a social security number to get a policy account, that's all the restriction on illegal aliens you need.

look, you've called me either a fucking retard or a fucking liar in every post for several pages.....there simply is no requirement that illegal aliens will not be covered, the Dems have specifically refused to put in a provision which prevents illegal aliens from being covered, there are at least three other ways in the act that funding can be provided for coverage for illegal aliens....most specifically the very next subtitle, which does NOT prohibit illegal aliens from coverage, which is the employer paid plan.....

in addition, illegal aliens currently don't have social security numbers and that hasn't prevented the courts from requiring that they be provided with health care....and public education....and social services....or anything else....and the act specifically states you can't discriminate against anyone for any reason...what do you think lawyers are going to do with THAT clause....

so instead of calling me names, why don't you admit you are wrong.....

I'll admit I'm wrong when I'm wrong. I'm not in this case. The BILL says you have to have a social to qualify for a plan and you're ineligible for subsidies if you're an illegal alien. I don't know what more you want.

You're one of those people operating outside of the "reality based community." Mountains of evolution evidence can be thrown in your face, black and white words of a bill can be shown to you, and you disregard it willfully in favor of faith-based beliefs in something totally demonstrably untrue.

By the way, I can't find a legitimate news article about it not from some blog or pro-business website. You have anything about it in the NY Times or Wash Post or something credible which might have all the facts in there (like the name of the amendment for instance, so one can look it up)?

The story you're quoting has the headline, "Illegal Aliens One Step Closer to Getting Health Benefits" -- which tells you all you need to know about how much you can trust they're giving you the whole story.
