Obama gets caught on tape

I was asked, "If they took away all the moderate and conservative democrats do you really think the liberals would be in the majority?"

In order for them not to be, they would have to have more than 20 Senators in the Democratic party that were either Moderate or Conservative. Please tell me which 20 these are, and why if they are so dead set against this legislation it is still being discussed?

I love Damo's "Gotcha!" moments. They're so benign.

I thought the point was there wouldn't be private insurance companies if a single payer system was established. If so, such is not the case. Private insurance can pay for extras like a private room or a wheelchair or neck brace to take home, for example. Or blood tests at a private clinic.

No, the point is that Obama is talking out of both sides of his mouth. Being as disingenuous as ever.

I think we should inundate it with self-reporting. Just overflow it to make it useless.

Seriously, you could just copy this blog daily and send it to them...HA!

Perfect justice for their disregard of our Constitution...make them read all the drama here!~

I don't see it as being disingenuous. I think we're all aware of certain "bugs" in every universal health care system (no pun intended) and Obama is trying to come up with the best plan.

The bottom line is everyone has to be covered, one way or another. People have been harping about all the plans other countries have and the glitches in them. Obama is trying for a "Made in the USA" plan so if that means a-little-of-this-and-a-little-of-that, that's what has to happen.

The point being it has to be established everyone has medical coverage. It has to become a mind set, if you will. It's no longer acceptable to say we're discussing it. It has to become a reality. Once it is in place the people will want to keep it just as every other nation on earth has kept theirs. Then the "bugs" will be worked out but in the meantime everyone will be covered and they will experience the great benefit.

Just like every other country with a universal medical plan, countries where every citizen has medical coverage, once it becomes a reality and people actually experience it there will be no more discussion about the basic concept. The thinking and discussions will shift to improving it, where it should have been focused for the last 15 years or so since Hillary brought it up.
