They didn't; they don't have that power. According to ASU, he is no longer enrolled but not due to university action. Sounds more like he's enjoying his 15 minutes and elevation to sainthood by the gun-humpers.
If someone comes into my home with the intent to do harm, absolutely. On the other hand, I would not take a firearm to a protest, particularly one that features violence. People who do that are looking for trouble.

I strongly suspect that he enrolled merely to make himself look good on the stand. As soon as the trial was over, he dropped out, just like he dropped out of h.s. The insane are sending him money and making some hero out of him. Once the shiny wears off and he's no longer of interest or use to them, what do you think he'll do? Actually go to school and make something of himself? Suffer fame withdrawal symptoms? Commit another crime to regain his lost notoriety?
