So you really believe they do not know what can happen? That was ridiculous. It is about power over women, which is a characteristic of most religions.
Okay...let's examine some various religions:
Christianity:
Christ taught that women have a special place in the kingdom of God. They bring forth children, which are of the kingdom of God. Christians also brought forth honoring mothers specifically, using a holiday.
Shinto:
No specific hatred or love for women in these religions.
Buddhism:
No specific hatred or love for women in this religion, but it DOES recognize the importance of women to bring about the reincarnation of the spirit.
Hindi:
No specific hatred or love for women in this religion, but it DOES recognize the importance of women to bring about the reincarnation of the spirit and completing the Circle of Life.
Islam:
Generally treats women as property.
Church of No God:
Treats women as property. Women are treated as less than human for many purposes.
Ethnic African:
No specific hatred or love for women in this religion, but it DOES recognize the importance of women to bring about the reincarnation of the spirit and completing the Circle of Life. Centers more on magick.
Polyandric:
Some tribes in Africa, India, and Nepal practice 'marriage' of one women to multiple men. Any children produced in this type of society are raised by the women and all of the men 'married' to her. Women are treated as a 'shared resource'.
So, no. Most religions are NOT about power over women.
Argument from randU fallacy.
