"Congressmen will have plenty of time to read the bill, Obama insisted. Noting that Congress won't finish deliberating the legislation until after its August recess, Obama said he'd be willing to invite any representative or senator over to the White House to review the bill "line by line.""
I think someone should take him up on that...![]()

I'm sure Tutu & meme will be along any second now to recant their rush to judgment that Obama was "breaking a promise" by not giving legislators a chance to read through the bill...
A plan without the public option is a plan not worth passing.
Hopefully it's a non-watered down bill, for our children's sake.

There will be no public option.
What America will get is watered-down healthcare tweaking, but not reform.
.. taking bets.

this sucks for usA
Mike Coffman should go over and hang out for a few days reading it line by line with Obama. No need for our "beloved" Senators, who were ready to rubber-stamp whatever came out so long as it spent money and had the name Obama attached to it with a sticky note, to do anything at all. Mike could invite me. I'd report faithfully all I saw. Transcribe tapes, everything."Congressmen will have plenty of time to read the bill, Obama insisted. yes, this bill does indeed suck for the USA.
I agree, any bill without the public option is just playing into the hands of the bad guys.
