Dude passed for 2,400 yrds and rushed for a record 1,000 plus.
20 td's and only 13int
I'd take him on the saints in a heartbeat.
And if he was already falling he annally rapped us without a reach around nearly every time we played.

I think I would worry more about the PR nightmare it would involve if you hired him.
 
that's what people are saying and it's true, but fuck peta. The man served more time than a lot of murder fellons do. Those teams listed prob have a lot of empty seats he could fill.

But the murderers kill people. Vick killed dogs. Much greater sympathy for the dogs.


I still see Vick chew toys for dogs being sold. I still see a lot of animosity towards him. And he will be in trouble again before long. He will still run with the same crowd that got him into trouble.

I hope your wrong but I sure wouldn't bet against you.
Obvioulsy he had no clue how lucky he was and he should blow the commish if that's what the commish wants.
dude was a sick talent, unfortunately his mind was/is sick as well.
 
Vick was a pretty mediocre QB when he left, he's spent years getting no practice and won't be able to help any team out right away, let alone an immediate "improvement".

He got to the superbowl with the team on his back, I think he won a college nc.

Again 2,500 yrds passing with 1,000 yrds rushing
is he Payton or Brady no
But he's way better than the bottom half of starting QB's by a lot.

I was listening to a talk radio sports station yesterday and they pointed out something that surprised me. The reason they claimed Vick won't stay away from the guys he was hanging with when he got into trouble? When those guys went on trial, Vick paid for their legal defense. Sounds to me like he regretted what happened as much as he needed to regret what happened.

Those stats are two years old. He was a mediocre passer to begin with. Two years off, maybe... MAYBE is returns to that mediocre form. As for his running, two years is a long time... ask any of the elite running backs. I would be shocked to see him run like he used to. My guess is that he will end up at WR if he comes back to the NFL.
 
He also still hasn't met with Commissioner Goodell (sp?) so teams are hesitant to bring Vick to camp and then have the commissioner suspend him or not reinstate him. The PR issue is the truth. People go crazy over their animals and the passion people have for dogs is extremely strong. Not to mention Vick is two years out of the game. To compete at the highest level of the NFL taking two years off is not easy to do.

You guys could be right, but I'm claiming your full of shit. He's one way better than your QB.
Two he only completed 52% but he completed plenty down field dude has a cannon. He's under 30 should have no problem getting in the same physical shape.
 
Also top... what the hell does RACE have to do with this?

It has to do with his ability to play, the media headache that WILL follow him, the potential for a repeat off field incident. This has NOTHING to do with his race.
 
vick did his time for his crime. If he wants to get back in to football, he needs to move to a different position. He's not a great QB, but he has quickness, agility, and speed. He should move to kick and punt return, then maybe move to a #3 WR

It has some to do with race for several reasons.

1. dog fighting it can be argued was/is part of the lower income black culture.
2. Media keeps saying he was weak on the playbook, old school racism. You hear it 1,000 times less about white QB's.
3. I should have left the race issue out, I'm a Saints fan, dude smoke us like fools everytime we played. He way better than you guys think. Broncos qb sucks in comparison.

I am a Chiefs fan.... so do you mean the one who threw for 3700 yards last year (Cassel)? Or our backup (thigpen) that threw for 2600 yards last year in 11 starts with an additional 400 yards rushing?

Or did you assume I was a Denver fan, who did let their QB go to CHI, but Orton threw for almost 3000 yards 18/12 with a crappy receiving corp?

Vick is not better than any of them for the reasons I mentioned.

1) Whether dog fighting is a part of the lower income black culture or not... that doesn't make saying Vick shouldn't play in the NFL again racist.

Being able to throw the ball a long ways does not make you a great QB. Vick is NOT ACCURATE. His numbers back up that statement. That is why he runs so much. He is a running back playing QB.

again, I am not a pony fan, but Orton threw for almost 3000 yards LAST year with a shitty receiving corp. I wouldn't be surprised to see him hit 4000 with the receiving corp Denver has. Vick would not be capable of that even in New England with Moss and Welker.
 
If he hits 4,000 with denver I'll give it to you.
Vick did not run cause he couldn't pass, he had shitty recievers back then too.
In today's game with the wildcat he'd be even more usefull, hopefully someone takes him as a backup.
