I just wanted to ask conservatives if it just doesn't get their panties in a wad that the biggest annual sporting event in the world is not the Super Bowl or the World Series or any other US Sporting event? Is it even worse that it's a French event?

I'm not a pro sports fan at all. That being said I'd watch the Tour de France before the Superbowl.
 
Golf is actually the only sport I watch at all.

Wish I could still play golf, Baseball, basketball, etc

I liked to play sports but did not enjoy watching them.

I guess it is becuase my only heroes are personal ones.
Nor did I ever feel pressure to belong to a group.

Have never even considered it. I think the French suck but doesn't bother me a bit.

I always thought the French got the rough end of the stick from you fickle Americans. You kick us out, with their help, they give you a big old statue and everything and then you jilt them at the altar and become best friends with us.

But not in the US. The biggest sporting event in the US by ratings is the Super Bowl. Sadly, it should be the World Series, but whatever. I'm sure that worldwide, the World Cup should be up there somewhere as well.

Noted. I find that people can be a fan of a team without hero-worshipping the players, and even admitting that a certain player or two are complete douchebags.

I didn't know you ever played sports, because sports-bashing seems to be your number one claim to pussydom...
 
I think hero worship for sports figures and teams is stupit.
And for the viewing oif sports to be a magor event in you life is to be pretty pitiful.

Yes I played sports. I also used to water ski, fish, hike , camp, shoot trap, tennis, motocross, dirt track race and more.
