A few years ago Superfreak and I got into a huge argument about this. Maybe it's different in Colorado but here you can get three boxes of spaghetti for the price of a bag of Honeycrisp apples. Poor people buy cheap and filling food.

agreed.....carbs are definitely the cheapest source of calories........I am on a high protein diet (basically Keto without the fat bombs) and it isn't cheap.....

yogurt ($1.28 per serving) 17grams protein
1/4 cup mixed seeds dried fruits and nuts (around $0.55 per serving) 8 grams protein
