OK, I read the OP link.
I never heard of Brownfield Texas, so I checked that out.
Brownfield Texas is a small town near the New Mexico border with a population of about 10K. The nearest larger town is Lubbock.
The parking lot visible on satellite maps shows a main parking lot that could accommodate about 100 vehicles. Most of the facility is single story.
Here is a link to the cafeteria with a pic of the staff of 4. If they lost 25% of that staff, it would be one person.
I'm thinking it was pretty pathetic of Solomon to run this highly slanted piece and that he had to go so far out into the sparsely populated western stretches of Texas to find a hospital administrator who supports his slant.
Certainly it would be an impact on this small town if the BRMC closed down, but seriously, the US Army could send a MASH unit there to reopen it if that happened.
But my gut is this is nothing but steam being blown and that BRMC will not be closing down because of new COVID safety requirements. I bet they find a way to stay open regardless.
And I also doubt the big talk about refusals would actually be seen because I can't imagine where the people who would give up the good jobs they have in this small town would find work that would absolve them of the new requirements meant to fight the pandemic.
