I've recently decided to switch my major to Software engineering/Physics, instead of Software engineering/English. It'll be good to bring those number of idiots who are probably the least of their fields even lower.
The 6% of scientists who are Republicans are the 6% who are making awful science.

Okay, I'm preempting here but the reaction from the righties on this site is going to be, "SEE! I knew they couldn't be trusted!"
Basically these idiots hate anyone who brings people facts. Scientists who make a living at it, journalists who make a living at it, professors who make a living at it. They HATE these people.

Scientists are amongst the most trusted in bringing progress to America amongst the American public, surpassing medical doctors (although, unfortunately, scoring below the military). The public may hate truth, but they like the product of truth.

It never claims anything it says is conclusive fact! It just provides you with a general map of what is most likely and what is not, depending on the evidence. If the evidence later contradicts what they have said, no big bone, they just revise the theory.

You mean the Principle of Gravity? I understand Science has determined many principles in physics, and they make very accurate (sometimes) predictions based on the probability of these determinations or principles, but there is one thing that "science" never does, and that is to conclude something as a fact.
With regard to Science, fact is always inconclusive. It's not answering the question, it is to ask the more profound question. This is the root basis for all science, and all aspects of anything scientific. You are a Believer in the Religion of Science. It is your personal faith, where other people have a God. This is why you can't comprehend or understand, your Science Religion is often flawed, and falls way short of explaining phenomenon in our known universe.

I hate to bring up the 1/3rd argument, but if you don't even understand the simple mathematics of base ten vs. say, base 3, then you have no business discussing matters of our existence seriously. do try to catch up.

One can't be divided evenly by three. Ten can't... 100 can't... 1000 can't. etc. Those are just mathematical facts, and if you want to argue something else is math, that is up to you. I won't prohibit you from participating in the conversation regarding our existence, despite your inept math ability.

Actually, it doesn't! There are a number of things science can't explain, they seem to defy scientific principles and are beyond the capacity of science to explain at this time. There are also the wide range of things science has previously 'explained' only to have to go back and change what they 'explained' in light of the new findings. This happens a great deal in science.

Only absurd special pleadings that were designed specifically to be untestable, like god.
They will always defy the ability to test them ,because their propents will invent an infinite number of different untestable special pleadings as to why they can't be tested.
And this is the strength of science. That it revises it's findings with new evidence, unlike other philosophies of knowledge. That's what makes science great. It doesn't DETRACT from science!

The fact that the decimal system gives an infinite repeating decimal when one is divided by three is irrelevant to whether or not one can be divided into three equal parts. Infinite is possible. 1/3 = 0.3333e = 1/3 .
You got your degree in some kind of computer design shit. I had to go through calculus for mine. I know what I'm talking about.

Not at all, I love science! it fascinates me to no end! I especially love to hear scientists like the one who mapped the human genome, express they believe in God, and that such an incredible thing could only be the work of God. I particularly liked when Albert Einstein answered questions of his relativity principle possibly being inaccurate, he said... "God doesn't roll the dice."
I've not been ANTI-science here at all.... EVER! I have not railed against science in any way. I corrected your ignorant ass about what science is and what it does. I am vehemently ANTI-YOU punk, get that straight!
