Like I said, we should not be honoring someone who took up arms against our nation, especially when they had a choice. He belongs in a history book, not a place of honor.
They do not have statutes to Saddam Hussein, Osama Bin Laden or Hitler.
So basically the argument is that the German people shouldn't remove the Nazi statues and symbols because they need to be reminded of the history of Germany?

Replacing a statue of a rather brilliant general that fought for the Confederacy with ugly graffiti and hate speech, written by racist fucks that haven't a clue about history.

Maybe you should think a minute. Why was a private in the Confederate army even fighting? What was he fighting for? He very likely had no slaves! Why did State after State secede in the first place and form their own independent nation? What was it that triggered the secession? Yeah, slavery was mentioned in some of these documents, but that is not the reason they seceded. Slavery existed long before they seceded.
What the public school system taught you about the War of Secession (it was not a civil war) is wrong.
All this while ignoring the very real possibility of an actual civil war, the first America has ever fought, looms near. A war that is religiously based, the worst kind there is.
