Why does Trump only live in Liberal places?

I don't recall you accusing others of their obsession with Biden and Hunter.

We care because it displays blatant hypocrisy. Not my problem if you cannot see that.

To me, most of the board is obsessed with whomever the President is. So calling it out would be pointless. This is beyond that.

Here’s my analogy (if you’re a college football fan). Everyone in the SEC cheats. But they comment when someone cheats outrageously.

That’s this. If I’m a hypocrite for laughing at someone caring where they live then so be it.

Trump is in the news constantly. So it isn't an obsession to discuss them here.

Hello Cypress,

I always wondered why Rush Limbaugh spent so many years in New York City when he could have lived in Nebraska or Alabama.

Rush Limbaugh carved himself out a very lucrative trade, but in so doing, created a lot of animosity and attitudes. He became well known and very rich. I doubt he mingled with the rank and file types who would get so angry over the hatred he sent out. He likely ended up being reluctant to go out and mingle in public. Being well known is a big limitation on freedom.

What about bears or mountain lions? That kept me up last time I tent camped without a dog.

I camp like I ski. I need to get in at least 20 days a year or I feel unaccomplished. And I backpack more often than I car camp. I went to my favorite camping spot this past spring without my deceased dog for the first time. Something was rustling outside my tent about three hours before sunrise. To this day, I can't say if it was a bear (that's my guess) or a confused dog trying to find his bed, but I tell you I have only been that scared a couple of times in my entire life. I didn't sleep again. I packed up the second I could see my hand in front of my face and booked it out. Wild animals are no joke. Also, I'm sure you already know this, but for those who don't: Don't keep whiskey (or anything resembling food or drink) in your tent. A bear will kill you for it.

Hello cawacko,

From a bigger picture perspective isn't the liberal claim that diversity is so great? Yet we're supposed to live only in areas where people who vote like we do are a majority? I'm a lifelong Republican yet since the age of 9 have lived in the cities (not suburbs) of Oakland, San Francisco, L.A. and nine months in sh*t hole Boston. Am I a sell out of some sort or not a real Republican for doing this?

There are liberals on this board who live in red states, including the OP. Are all of you not real liberals as well?

America is a great diverse nation. Virtually every region of the country has a mix of liberal and conservative. If a region has a 60-40 split, it is called "solidly' red or blue. That does not mean that everyone who lives there votes with the majority.

Bears are only interested in human food. Hang your food in a tree far from your tent. Or use a bear proof Lock box

Cougars are not interested in humans unless their cubs are theatened or if you run, triggering their pursuit instinct.

he's all of that and more.. but he was a damn good POTUS -certainly superior to this dotard

economic growth / no wars/ secure borders to start

It's so cute to see you guys picking up the 14th century vocabulary of the North Korean dictator. It's almost like you're deplorable or something.

I've read all the way to this post #55. Where did you explain why the Republican party elected a liberal as a president?

Pay particular attention to posts 45, 46 and 49. If you don’t understand after that I can’t help you.

It seems that Trump, who I assume could live anywhere he chooses, only lives in the most liberal spots.

NYC, BEDMINSTSR, NJ, and Palm Beach.

Trump would be so welcome in Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, or rural Georgia.... Why does he chose super liberal cities to live in?

Palm Beach (his official residence) is the most liberal zip code, not only in Florida, but the entire South.

Trump doesn't like to live in shitholes.
The White House itself was a big step down for him after the gilded Trump Tower..

But shithole dwellers are his constituency, so the orangutan must pander to them.

Ok, you salty little bitch. Let's digest posts 45, 46, and 49. (Don't forget the Oxford comma so as to minimize the odds that we'll all think you're an idiot.)

Got a question for you. Did he try to accomplish what he campaigned on?

So you mean that Republicans have no problem electing a liberal if they think their goals will be met. Is there a word for that?

He did. He really campaigned on the wall/border, taxes, et al., and that is what he pursued.

The wall doesn't exist. The border hasn't changed in decades. His tax policy was a national catastrophe. So why did Republicans elect a liberal again?

Which is why he is so popular with his base. He pursued what he campaigned on much more doggedly than previous “conservative” presidents since Reagan.

I can’t stand him. I hope he doesn’t run again. He is a vulgar, foul mouth semi-literate egomaniac. But I understand his popularity.

I see. So your boner for Trump, whom you claim to dislike, is based on his ability to stack the Supreme Court, obstruct gun safety reforms, never build a wall, tank the economy, and be unable to remember a single Bible verse.

Trump's popularity is not thanks to promises made and promises kept. Trump's popularity is due to his installment into the minds of brain dead partisans by your more intelligent overlords in right wing media and the Republican party.

Good info and condolences on the pooch. Next to family we love losing pets is right there on the loss pain. I am in the glamping phase of my life. Basically I rent someone's RV, fill it with goodies and books
and hang with friends around a campfire. Not really camping, just getting away and getting trashed with good friends, which
as you age tend to be work related, sadly.

I kind of like leaning right cuz he is my only hope, but you nailed it here, and the mentality.

The singular thing that Trump obtained that his party wants, other than stacking the court after Republicans stole a liberal seat with foul play from Obama, is
he managed to make every moderate conservative and every single liberal hate Republicans mother fucking guts.

I believe they really like that. He did not pursue any policy based in reason or earnest desire of Republicans, he pursued policies designed solely
for the purpose of being as fucking deplorable and hurtful to the group as he could.

The republican party likes Trump ONLY FOR THE HATRED.

leaningright, you are dead wrong.

Solidly Democratic:

As suggested above, Trump attracts the gullible and assorted know nothings for political endeavors but for his everyday surroundings he prefers a higher class of people. Whether they prefer him is a different matter.

Kind of interesting to hear someone on the left say having more money makes you a higher class person. (Not that you don’t think it but to actually say it…)

So we see here a lot of what is wrong in this country. People like Deisel get elected on the left and people like Trump get elected on the right. Moderates on either side are seen as weak…RINOs one the one side and Blue Dog traitors on the other. We argue and argue and paint the other side as evil…

By the way, I’m not a Republican.

Hey, if it means getting out of the house and making some memories with some friends, I'm all about it. Two friends of mine who are also a couple bought an RV recently. They can't go everywhere or as far as I can, but dammit if I don't live underneath their shade awning whenever we're camped together.
