The letter, signed by the leaders of 10 counties in the Rochester area, asks Gov. Kathy Hochul and New York State Department of Health Commissioner Dr. Howard Zucker to consider some changes to the mandate to help prevent the walkout of more healthcare employees from local medical facilities.

That’s a local story but it’s being repeated throughout the country. Hospitals were already facing chronic staffing shortages *before* Covid. All they need to do is exempt healthy under 40 workers from the mandate since their risk of hospitalization/death is virtually negligible. Problem solved.

It’s ridiculous and unfortunately, it’s only one of the ways this thing has been mishandled by our public health ‘experts’.
