"But it doesn't prevent you from getting COVID!"

It doesn’t stop infections and it was supposed to. They have cut down on hospitalizations but since we’re ‘living the experiment’ they may or may not hold true in the future. There’s the prospect of having successive boosters to try and keep up with the variants and no one has any idea what adverse effects can arise after several of them.

Telling the truth doesn’t make me anti vax.

No - but your posting is consistently anti-vax.

It's gotta be one of the easiest "I'm all about agenda, not common sense" things to identify in political history.

Trumpers made fun of people who were concerned about COVID. They thought the mortality rate was negligible, and that people were exaggerating the risk.

A vaccine comes along - and the danger from that is a tiny fraction of what it is with COVID - and suddenly it's all about the "risk" and "people are dying."

You can't make it up. I genuinely think that COVID has a payroll, and millions of Trump supporters are on it.

Why does the Trump crowd keep saying this, as though it's any kind of argument against vaccines?

The fact that it doesn't prevent transmission has been known for a long time now. Everyone knows this.

What the vaccines DO is keep you out of the hospital, and the cemetery - very effectively.
Think so?

The bad news, doctors say, is that half of Israel's seriously ill patients who are currently hospitalized were fully vaccinated at least five months ago.

Israel's Health Ministry raised new alarm this week with a report showing the effectiveness against severe disease of the Pfizer vaccine, developed with Germany's BioNTech, appeared to have dropped from more than 90% to 55% in people age 65 and up who received their second jab in January.

Thanks for the link. Hopefully people read the entire article instead of just the headline:

The good news is that among Israel's serious infections on Thursday of this week, according to Health Ministry data, the rate of serious cases among unvaccinated people over age 60 (178.7 per 100,000) was nine times more than the rate among fully vaccinated people of the same age category, and the rate of serious cases among unvaccinated people in the under-60 crowd (3.2 per 100,000) was a little more than double the rate among vaccinated people in that age bracket.

The bad news, doctors say, is that half of Israel's seriously ill patients who are currently hospitalized were fully vaccinated at least five months ago. Most of them are over 60 years old and have comorbidities. The seriously ill patients who are unvaccinated are mostly young, healthy people whose condition deteriorated quickly.

LOL

Guaranteed that they didn't read the whole thing. Just googled "hospitalizations from the vaccine" and hoped for the best.

We spent 2020 praying that scientists could come up with a vaccine quickly.

Predictably, Trump supporters were ready to discredit everything about it. They haven't supported one single measure or action that could mitigate COVID.

I have to conclude that they love COVID. Or profit from it.

They believe and trust their Orange Messiah on the issue. He spun his lies for over a year on COVID.

Dude, in 2020 Trump was saying a vaccine would be ready by the end of the year and democrats were saying they wouldn’t take the ‘Trump vaccine’. When he wasn’t being mocked for saying it.

Not me, dude. And no one, really. Even Harris said that the important thing for her was recommendation from the scientific community, and that she wouldn't take Trump's word for it.

Stop trying to rewrite history. You guys simply oppose anything that could help. Anything at all.

I think the history is clear: democrats were the original anti-Vaxers.

Cuz, Trump. It was literally a reflex and still is.

Not clear. At all.

Like I said, Dems said that they wouldn't take Mr. "inject disinfectant's" word for it. They NEVER said they would not take the vaccine. Never.

Find a few quotes. Back it up.

It was said and we all know it.

Your objection is weak: Trump was not the FDA. He couldn’t approve a vaccine by executive order. Democrats were the original anti-vaxers.

No, it wasn't.

I'd invite you again to present any quotes or back up. And again - Democrats said that they wouldn't take Trump's word for it; not that they would never get the vaccine.

Be right once. Show me. Get the quotes.

You said it yourself lol.

Democrats said they didn’t want to take any vaccines recommended by Trump. Let’s see the quotes.

Another study out of Israel says people who have had the vaccine are 13 times more likely to contract COVID than people that have previously had COVID.

The new analysis relies on the database of Maccabi Healthcare Services, which enrolls about 2.5 million Israelis. The study, led by Tal Patalon and Sivan Gazit at KSM, the system’s research and innovation arm, found in two analyses that people who were vaccinated in January and February were, in June, July, and the first half of August, six to 13 times more likely to get infected than unvaccinated people who were previously infected with the coronavirus. In one analysis, comparing more than 32,000 people in the health system, the risk of developing symptomatic COVID-19 was 27 times higher among the vaccinated, and the risk of hospitalization eight times higher.
