I wondered that during the ISIS in Syria war. Have we not mastered the technology yet? I envisioned a mother drone which could fly to an area, then release thousands of mini drones which could go after individuals and gang up on them to take 'em out one at a time. Then they self destruct. Since we obviously do not have this technology yet, we need to build it.
