Evangelicals fume as GOP surrenders in gay marriage wars

Then show me the wording!

Make it worth my while, Matt, or look up the SCOTUS decision yourself.

The fact remains if a case reaches SCOTUS, they are the highest court to determine if something is in keeping with the Constitution or not. Have problem with it? Read their summary be it gay marriage, slavery or abortion.

The social meaning of "marriage" should be entirely irrelevant under the law.

A civil union between two people brings with it certain legal implications and advantages.
The gender of the two people is irrelevant in that if two people can acquire these legal considerations,

Agreed. "Marriage" is a religious term. What the government does isn't sanctify marriage; they create a legal bond between two people for purposes of survivorship and for parental rights and obligations.

The point is that if being straight is "hard wired", then being gay isn't a choice. It's impossible to make that choice if it's "hard wired".

B.S it's called sin, the person is tempted, and then chooses, to engage in the sinful act of homosexuality, and gives in to temptation, and it becomes sin!
