Alright, get this. The Washington Times, New York Post, and all of the other conservative propaganda outlets (save Fox) have all lost millions and millions of dollars. By some estimates, the Washington Times has lost BILLIONS. These people have never made a dime. The owners are throwing away millions every year to keep them afloat. They can't survive in the free market. They simply don't have the readership to support them. They are entirely dependent on the millions and millions of dollars being flushed down the toilet every yet by the owners.
Alright, most of these guys are pretty old. A death, a divorce, or just a loss of patience means these things are going to fold immediately. That means a huge collapse of the conservative propaganda machine that is responsible for what little power they have managed to hold on to.
You see people from the Washington Times and New York Post quoted all the time. I saw one of their people sitting next to some actually respected journalists on a Sunday political show just this week. When these things go, the future does not look bright for the conservatives.
My prediction -- within 10 years the propaganda machine that allows conservatives to create the impression of having a legitimate viewpoint will collapse for financial reasons and the GOP will be history.
