Yes! #MeToo is strengthening consequences for sexism, misogyny, and harassment, but it isn't changing enough attitudes, especially among men. The 22-year-old frat boys in my office are not better than Cuomo. They're afraid of getting fired or arrested, which is a good thing, but the culture still needs a good scrubbing.

The US is a puritanical society in public, which is why so many Americans are complete freaks when they think no one is looking. The way we censor and rate media, the way we punish children for saying words that we taught them, and the way that some of us judge every minority as inferior are all the heritage that those uptight, pasty crackers left us when they fled England, of all places, to form a more conservative society. American liberals are center right from an academic perspective, but one gets labeled by the neo-Nazi alt right of the US as being a communist if s/he suggests that a pothole should be filled.

If parents -- especially dads -- start teaching their sons to respect women, #MeToo wouldn't be necessary. Parents also need to teach their daughters to respect themselves and demand the same from others.
