Reporting something isn't 'glee'. I post the numbers here because I want people to wake up. Florida is a slow motion disaster. The numbers this week are way worse than they were last week. That gives me no pleasure as a person who lives here, and as a person who is one of those numbers, even after being vaccinated. DeSantis is making a cynical political ploy at the expense of the lives of Floridians. This thing is getting kids. There is no way they should be attending school anywhere in the state without masks.

And they are continuing to rise. I posted this in another thread..... With the exception of one outlier county in the middle of the state (I suspect the data is bad), EVERY county in Florida had over 315 new cases per 100,000. In the panhandle, it's far worse, every county exceeds 500 cases per 100,000, and some counties are now exceeding 1,000 new cases per 100,000 population. It is a disaster, and the head of the state is making it worse. His actions are nothing short of grotesque.

I boost my immune system with D3, zinc and probiotics. I got 2 Pfizers. I dont mask up because masks do not protect the wearer -although they can prevent droplets ( like coughing).

Masks are bad for kids because they do not offer protection, and kids touch masks and touch their face-
which is worse then no mask at all. They also inhibit socialization -critical for kids

However Desantis has an opt out for parents to mask -which is probably the only good path -let the parents decide

It would help if Biden didn't dump his delta migrants into the state without any notification

Methinks the Dems will hold a vigil if the Covid numbers start to decline. Their glee is nothing less than sick, and very telling.

It is a little twisted the way they constantly politicize it. Problem is putting your political stock in a virus [essentially a natural phenomenon] is a dicey proposition.

But here is NPR stepping in to assure their Lemmings that the southern state spikes cannot be related to illegal migrants and that it’s, wait for it….racist, to even suggest such a thing. I swear, I can write liberal copy in advance without even knowing the subject.

‘Experts’ were called in tamp down on the exquisitely reasonable proposition that 100’s of thousands of migrants flooding across the southern border, just might be, contributing the rise southern states numbers. Keep in mind these poor people have been huddled together like livestock during what passes for ‘processing’ by our overwhelmed border security. At least for some hours if not days, before they are released to go—wherever. I think the word the Covidians use for that is ‘super spreader’ event.

Except this is one is on-going 24/7 and has been for months. But some ‘experts’ NPR found/cherry picked assured us this could have nothing to do with rising cases in southern states.

Just like insurance companies can charge you extra for having too many unsafe driving tickets (even if no seatbelt), they will be able to charge higher prices for people who voluntarily violate medical plans, take risks not covered or otherwise increase their chances of collecting on the insurance. Sounds like a problem that is being created at the border by the way we are processing people coming in.

Easy answer is to tax the rich more, expand the facilities at the border so that immigrants can be processed faster without the need for them to be gathered together in large groups where the virus might spread. That would also create more good government jobs.

Fortunately the US govt does require a negative COVID test as a condition of entry into the USA.

Not the issue. Long term use of masks create a much higher risk for fungal and bacteriological infections. They are completely ineffective against viruses. These are dust masks. They are only useful for doing a dusty job.

Kids will socialize. You can't stop it. Have you heard of the internet or phones? They play happily with their friends, and are not wearing masks while doing so. They already know better. They know the masks are political bullshit.
