People are always like, "You lefties are so obsessed with Rush!"

As far as I can tell, there are 3 leaders of the GOP right now: Palin, Cheney & Rush. So yeah, on a political message board, he's going to get some discussion...

I thought all the republicans were either Independent or Libertarian now??
I think Rush, Palin and Cheney are the only 3 republicans left.

I think it is silly that the left is once again trying to make Rush into a "leader". He didn't even appear on the radar on the poll that showed that there is no current one-person leadership of the party recently.

I remember stating that I liked that, it shows that we are in a rebuild and unlikely to select the same type of leadership that we had the past 8 years.

Now, we get some silly thing about Rush, Cheney, and Palin? Please. This is just the left talking points trying to define again who "leads". We'll pick our own leaders, we don't need silliness from the left trying to pick strawmen.

Say whatever you want. Since January, the primary "spokespeople" for the party have been Limbaugh, Cheney & Palin. It's foolish to deny that.

The thing about Rush is - very few in the GOP repudiate him or disagree with him openly. When they do, as they did in the beginning of the year, they hold press conferences to apologize & make it clear that they are still "on board" with Rush. They act like he's majority leader in Congress or something.

Sorry brother. I know how embarrassing it must be, but Palin, Rush, and Cheney are in fact leaders of the Republican Party.

Asking who leads the Republican Party is a valid question. What is the answer .. to be determined?

Palin has a higher approval rating within the Republican Party than Romney or anyone else. That must be awfully embarrassing.

Rubbish. Since January, the media has focused more on what Rush, etc. have said while ignoring others. This is just more silliness and attempts to define the "other" party. It's like saying that Tim Robbins is the "spokesperson" for the Democrats when he hits the news.

I guess the Gop should be like the childish Obama who whines about Fox news

Um, that is BS. Palin had an even lower showing than Rush on that poll. :rolleyes: Now you make up "facts" to press your silly talking points.

I never figured you for the talking points guy, but hey. If that's where you want to go, then feel free.

Like BAC said, I'm sure it must be embarassing, and something you would like to dismiss.

If I was a thinking Republican, it would embarass me, as well. I can't get over that Palin is still being talked about as one of the favorites for the GOP in 2012. What a dilemma....

Again, by those with talking points. Chris Matthews, et al. She hit at about 2% in that poll of leadership. Yeah, that's your talking points and not based in reality. I have no problem being "embarrassed" when such is the truth, but in reality the R party is taking time. It'll be interesting to see who finally comes out as "the" leader, but it isn't likely to be Palin.
