You guys were right; hyperinflation on its way

Yeah July is the last time I'm planning to post one of these threads. It should bottom out by then, and by the end of the year I'm expecting at least 2%+ inflation. Hyperinflation like the cons promised, however, simply isn't happening.

you got a link or a name,
cause while I agree the consensu is commodities will be higher, most say you can't have huge inflation much less hyper inflation without rising wages. With double digit unemployment your not going to have huge wage pressures.

I'll leave the proof to Watermark because we all know how good he is at proving his assertions.

It's not wage pressures that will cause the inflation but devaluation of the dollar, accumulation of debt and the subsequent downgrading of the credit rating of the US government.

yeah that's what I thought, same tired as bs about the dollar going down.
Last time I checked Japan and England are in worse shape than us. The dollar is maybe not rock solid it is still the go to currencey for the world.

Oil is the currency for the world- have you filled your tank recently?

The reason inflation is tame right now is because the govt is buying up all the crap assets in banks. just wait...

Warren buffet just today said it's basically a guarantee.

Why can't you have inflation without wage hikes? That's just stupid to say.

The "facts optional" crowd always show up on threads like this arguing against basic reality.

If the economy is DEFLATING, then your predictions of runaway INFLATION aren't wrong because you just need another 18 months to wait and see.

LOL. And here we have what I call the uscitizen-style "prediction". If at any point in the future there is inflation, then they will be right. If they say it long enough there will be inflation.

Except those who are predicting inflation are predicting it in the near future and point to the periods of deflation before the higher inflationary periods to show that current deflation is not indicative of permanent deflation nor a sign that high inflation is not on the near horizon.

I'm personally in a wait and see mode. I like deflation so long as my salary doesn't follow it down, it makes my money worth more.
