this is how government fails

Ya know, I keep hearing an evasion of a real basic problem here. WHO's GONA FUCKIN PAY FOR THE ROAD?

To high of a toll would discourage people from driving on that road, having said that, not having a road will discourage people from driving on said non-existant road even more.

The taxpayer will pay. WHo did you think would? stupidass.

Conversely, if you wish to prove he's wrong, you need to show proof.

I proved STY argument is invalid because it is incomplete. He needs to provide MORE information. All he provided as proof is a linked article, AFTER I had to ask for one.

AND STY's article does not support his argument.

An embedded article states:

"Davis (Chief Financial Officer Janice Davis) said staff has considered the potential for further traffic declines as a result of the rate increases. "But we think the additional revenue brought in will be sufficient" to compensate, she said.

The NTTA is not unique in confronting steadily declining traffic numbers. Over the past 18 months, Americans have simply begun driving less – prompting what the Federal Highway Administration has called among the longest sustained reduction in miles driven in U.S. history. As part of this trend, toll roads across America have seen revenues fall as well."

"toll roads across America have seen revenues fall as well."
...Not every toll road across America has raised their toll rate, so it PROVES other factors like gas prices, rising unemployment ARE ALSO factors...

YOU were the one to bring up "econ 101"... but you don't seem to grasp simple econ 101...

No. You were right the first time. It's unproven either way. So until you can prove it's false, please stfu.

I did. You still seem idiotic.

STY stated his opinion as if it were fact. It is not fact. He cannot prove it. Without detailed survey data of consumers of the service, it is impossible to say that revenues decreased because of a rate increase. no one has a problem when people state their opinions. When they try to pass those opinions off as facts, that raises reasonable objections.

late last year, the north texas transit authority raised the toll road fee from .75 to 1.00 to to make up for a budget shortfall. As the majority of us predicted would happen, less people used the toll roads, so the obvious end result was a decrease in revenue.

what do the bureaucrats decide to do to make up for that shortfall?

raise the toll fee another 32%.

what a bunch of dumbasses.

I agree! Government is the problem, and not the solution.

Clearly, there is no doubt that deregulation, and a universal devotion to rugged self-reliance will usher a Rightwing paradise….

Here I am. Ready to jiz in your face again. Bring it on, putz.

got anything new besides admitting that STY should STFU cuz he can't prove his point?

and I can imagine that 59 year old men are just the thing you need to get it up to the point of ejeculation, but thanks...I don't swing that way. maybe Dixie of SM might oblige you.
